Summary/Abstract: This paper reconstructs the beginnings of football and football events in Daruvar (where several football clubs were active) between 1919 and 1944. The first football clubs, their results and the inevitable ups and downs are also mentioned. The political orientation of each football club determined the specific audience for each club. The focus is on a historical review and retrospective of events both on and off the football field. The paper aimed to demonstrate the evolution of football in Daruvar.
