Summary/Abstract: This article presents the social context of the technological functioning of ecology. Digital creation of social threats is inseparably connected with mass consumption, virtual reality and technical environment. Man enters into relations not only with nature and society, but above all with freely modifiable virtual space. Modern information technology gives ecology an ideological dimension.
