Summary/Abstract: This text is a lecture prepared for high school students as part of the Głogów Science Days. The main purpose of this text is to popularize Polish philosophy focusing on the achievements of the realistic philosophy. Most studies in the field of Polish philosophy present the achievement of the Lviv-Warsaw school of thought and on the „second” phenomenology. Although the merits of these schools deserve recognition, it would be a misunderstanding to limit the rich achievements of Polish philosophers to just these two schools. According to Wiktor Wąsik’s research, medieval philosophy in Poland was firmly rooted in Aristotelianism. Despite the significant influence of various types of idealisms on the Polish culture (Platonism, Neoplatonism, Kantianism, Hegelianism and others). This culture evolved the original realistic philosophy (M. A. Krąpiec, M. Gogacz, K. Wojtyła) which deserves attention and international recognition.
