Summary/Abstract: The article explains the concept of ideology and its context, which is the tradition of philosophical idealism, in its two opposing currents: rationalism (modernism) and irrationalism (postmodernism). The consequence of idealism are two a priori anti-pedagogies, respectively: collectivist (fascism, communism, nazism) and individualistic (liberalism). In their context, such traditional concepts present in personalistic (realistic) pedagogy as: dignity, freedom, subjectivity, tolerance are distorted and identified with each other, which leads to a vicious circle of argumentation and absurd anti-pedagogical consequences in educational practice.
