Summary/Abstract: Purpose. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of the influence of distance teaching on the physical determinants of the teaching staff health and to develop recommendations for creating a teacher’s health-preserving culture. Results. The problem of health preserving of population of different age groups was and remains relevant, because health is the life component that determines maximum self-realization of any individual. The world community is paying attention to this, defining ensuring a healthy lifestyle and promoting well-being for everyone at any age as one of the goals of sustainable development. This is a complex goal that requires a comprehensive understanding and systematic research, and must be achieved through activities in various spheres of society: medicine, nature protection, economics, education, etc. In addition to communicable diseases, maternal and child health problems, preventing bad habits, and impact of pollution, non-communicable diseases are also focused, in particular, those caused by lifestyle. The country’s insurmountable circumstances caused an urgent need to switch to a distance form of education. That is why one of the main tasks of organizing the modern educational process is preserving of the quality of education without harming the health of all participants in the educational process, because the mediator in educational communication has become gadgets: computers, laptops, tablets, phones. It is obvious that a teacher who has problems with physical well-being will not be able to maximize their professional competencies while teaching students. As a result, the quality of education suffers. Unfortunately, the research proved that the majority of teachers of various ages do not take enough care of their physical health, have limited physical activities and spend a lot of time on gadgets. The survey results showed the main problems of teachers: eye fatigue and visual impairment, diseases of the musculoskeletal and circulatory systems. The article emphasizes the importance of developing and implementing educational materials and recommendations on a healthy lifestyle, training teachers who are aware of this issue, because a healthy lifestyle is especially relevant in the current conditions of long-term distance learning caused by quarantine and martial law. Scientific novelty. The study of the importance of the formation of the health-preserving culture of teachers in the conditions of distance learning received further development. Based on this analysis, practical recommendations were given to improve the well-being of teachers and prevent diseases caused by hypodynamia and eyestrain is a common condition that occurs when eyes get tired from intense use, such as staring at screens digital devices. Practical value. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the possibility of using recommendations on the formation of teachers’ health-saving culture in the conditions of a distance educational process.
