Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the analysis of culturological framework regarding the evolution of the scenic dance. In this sense, the philosophy of humanism has largely predetermined the emergence of currents such as classicism, romanticism, expressionism, etc. It is in the context of these currents that the evolution of choreographic art is approached, highlighting those specific factors that influenced this process. At the same time, this problem is approached from the perspective of modernism and postmodernism.
