Summary/Abstract: The author analyzes three poems by the modern writer Andrzej Lenartowski: trakl piszelist ze szpitala wojskowego, (Trakl Is Writing a Letter from the Military Hospital) nerval, andjesienin żył jeszcze tamtego wieczora (Yesenin Was Still Alive that Evening). He exploresthe connections between the works and the biographies and artistic achievements ofGeorg Trakl, Gérard de Nerval, and Sergei Yesenin. Moreover, he refers to Lenartowski’spoetic concept based on the triad of Love, Illness, and Death. The text also provides a briefprofile of the little-known writer.
