Summary/Abstract: The author scrutinizes mechanisms of the psychology of creativity compared with theissues of literary agency that lead writers to commit plagiarism and that make literaryplagiarism a well-established phenomenon in culture, according to many – eveninevitable. The second important reflection considers what distinguishes literary fromacademic plagiarism in the institutional positioning of literary and academic creativity.
