Improving the Functionality of Peripheral Device Handling for a Police Service Vehicle

Summary/Abstract: The publication presents the course of research performed within the re-search project entitled: “Creation of vehicle classification according to their purposeas well as the standardisation of the central console in vehicles in the scope of ar-rangement and assembly of ICT systems and the control devices for special purposesignals”. In particular, reference is made to the part of research constituting a diag-nosis of the needs and expectations of the project beneficiaries, i.e. police officers whouse service vehicles on duty. The diagnosed needs have been described as well as thepartial effects of the project works and their evaluation by the users, with special at-tention paid to their opinions regarding the functionality, ergonomics and safety of theproposed solutions
