Summary/Abstract: The Kouroumian language successfully combines several languages: French from France, French spoken in Africa, and Malinké. Ahmadou Kourouma’s writing project can be summarized as the emergence of a postcolonial literature in the French Malinké language. It brings to the forefront the writer’s linguistic awareness through the languages of expression. Kourouma’s writing, spurred on by a sociologising and anthropologising reading, advocated by the thought of re-Africanisation, reflects undeniable aspects of otherness.
