Summary/Abstract: The mental working capacity of children with special educational needs is determined by the type, severity and degree of disability, but in general it is reduced. The main condition for successful psychological and pedagogical activity is the knowledge of children's features. Improving attention characteristics would increase children's working capacity and avoid or reduce their distress. Systematic alternation of work and rest, physical and mental load is an important condition for achieving better results in the working with these children.
