Prospects of the Italian Language around the World

Summary/Abstract: In the present-day world going through an era of globalization, every language, including Italian, is trying to find its place and modes of survival and further development. This paper attempts to answer some of the questions concerning the prospects of the Italian language around the world and to identify its crucial determinants in competition with other languages, as well as to suggest further modes of activity in order to secure its stronger presence in all spheres of life.
