Summary/Abstract: Vasil Levski was acquainted and had close alliance with many famous Bulgarian painters of the past. He himself was attracted to the art of painting. His family even suggested that he would become a monk iconographer. According to some of his companions, the young lion on the Regulation of the Bulgarian central revolutionary committee was created by him. The Author follows the alliance between Levski and the Iconographers of the Bulgarian Revival.
