Summary/Abstract: According to Henryk Markiewicz's conservative estimates, Stanisław Tarnowski was the author of one hundred and fifty obituaries published in "Przegląd Polski" in the years 1872–19141. Paweł Kubicki, in a biographical sketch devoted to Tarnowski published in 1929, wrote about one hundred and fifty-five obituaries published in "Przegląd", but he supplemented the list, prepared in cooperation with Róża Tarnowska, with ten further memoir sketches published separately.
