Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the local leader from the perspective of his role in the activation of the local community, which results in the development of the region. The focus is on the impact of a local leader’s image in political communication and creating relationships between the local community and local authority. The article demonstrates that the image of a local leader can be an effective tool for local authorities and other decision-making centers to activate the local community, increase the region’s competitiveness, and shape the worldview of local social groups.
