Particularities of Doina in the Creation of Tiberiu Brediceanu

Summary/Abstract: Tiberiu Brediceanu was a Romanian folklorist, passionate about the tradition and culture of our country.His curiosity to constantly explore the Romanian village, added value to his creation. The cycle of lieds that belong to him, place his creation in a topical note, numerous singers of classical music, choosing to perform his musical masterpieces. So, this essay aims to introduce the reader to a biographical part, then moving on to the specific features of doina, followed by a formal and harmonious analysis, and last but not least, by an interpretive analysis,based on the comparison between two artistic performances and the highlighting of some aesthetic aspects, found both in the musical discourse and in the text spoken by the performer.
