Summary/Abstract: Beginning with March 2023, global banking sector had witnessed several high impact events which worries policymakers due to some similarities with the situation of banks before the 2007–2008 financial crisis. The recent events which caused the collapse of some important banks might be considered a collateral effect of the increase of interest rates in both USA and European Union which were meant to decrease the inflation. The failure of some important banks in USA and Europe proves that banking sector has some vulnerabilities which may lead to another major global crisis.
