IMPLICATIONS OF THE SPECIFIC ACTIVITY OF OSINT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CONFLICT IN UKRAINE

Summary/Abstract: Currently, the specific activity of OSINT obviously contributes to the realization of multisource analysis, by identifying and exploiting the necessary elements in order to understand the general context of a topic of interest. Today, OSINT can be considered, simultaneously, the most known and also one of the newest field of intelligence. In the context created by the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, the implications of information extracted from open sources are evident; there are even experts who consider that a big part of Kiev's ability to react is due to this field.
