Summary/Abstract: The progressive changes in society undoubtedly affect the geopolitical forms of our organization and its digitalization over time. The rhythm that does not rest, is based on how we relate to the progress within the new technologies at different levels, in addition to the changes in the interpersonal, political, economic and organizational spheres, among many others. Learning from the past as an opportunity for strategic change, with new spaces of sociability or antagonisms and with the emergence of new socio-actors. In the geopolitical scenario, the situation is also progressive, as the different processes denote a race for power, for economic and technological gains. It is not minor that scenarios such as sports also respond to these fluctuations in historical conditions and current disputes, especially when it comes to the most popular sport on the planet: soccer. In this sense, this article will make two processes visible: digitalization and geopolitics, essentially linked to the study of the World Cup.
