Summary/Abstract: Travel experiences are a sure indicator of the development of the whole industry and the continuous increase in the number of tourist visits. They are the added value of every tourist trip and at the same time a motive for subsequent consumption. Consumers in tourism are looking to experience memorable moments of their visit, which will turn into lasting memories. The experiences are created simultaneously by the tourist, the service staff and the visited destination. They have a direct impact on overall travel satisfaction. The present study will examine issues related to the theoretical concepts of various authors, will give examples from luxury tourism and will outline the new dimensions of the economics of experiences in tourism production. Instead of a conclusion, an attempt will be made to predict the development trends of the industry in question through the prism of their management.
