Summary/Abstract: The paper is devoted to special characteristics of Russian émigré literature and culture center, which was established in interwar Prague. Two dominant areas were distinctive to Russian emigration institutions: archival – museum and literary – publishing. The paper defines the significance and functioning of the major emigration institutions in Pargue: the Russian exile historical archive, the Russian museum of culture and history, the Union of Russian writers and journalists in Czechoslovakia, The literary association “Hermitage“, “Plamja“ publishers etc., including well-known Czech publishing houses releasing translations of Russian émigré literature.
