Summary/Abstract: The article describes the herstorical turn that has happened in the Polish humanities inrecent years. The clear separation of domestic historical and feminist studies begs thequestion about the possibility of revising history in the Polish humanities, especiallyon the ground of anthropological and literary studies, which reflect on the genderedexperience of history and its representations in literature and literary studies. The articlehighlights the reconfiguration of the research field influenced by the interpenetration ofthe cultural history of women, feminist criticism, and anthropology of literature. The texttraces the key manifestations of the herstorical turn, identifies particularly significantprojects that reconstruct the cultural history of women’s literature, outlines thesurfacing lines of research genealogies, and indicates the opportunities and limitationsof herstorically oriented academic and literary narratives.
