Summary/Abstract: The paper examines Tischner’s views on democracy, focusing on its basic values: peace, pluralism, freedom, and solidarity. These values are rooted in the dialogue in its existential meaning. The aim of the paper is to prove the timeliness of Tischner’s philosophy in the age of political disputes taking place in modern Poland.
