Summary/Abstract: The work explains what social competences are and what their importance is in the contemporary professional career, and why their importance is growing. In the article, the author explains how social competences diff er from hard competences and what the professional career model looks like today, as well as how much the economic and social changes in the 21st century and the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic have changed this model.
