Summary/Abstract: Reforming the labor market, starting with “rummaging” in wages, is not a good starting point for normalizing the structure of professionalism and economic activity of people entering the labor market who are professionally active, or those who have the opportunity go to retire, but still have enough psychophysical abilities that they do not want to do this. Artificial shaping of wages without reference to the characteristics of the profession, education and specifcity of the labor market may end up with far-reaching consequences that affect the quality of social life. This is especially dangerous in a situation where the motivating factor is politics and the entire process of changes is based on social assumptions. Although, of course, I do not depreciate the social support of the state, I emphasize the importance of common sense and weighing the proportions of support and what has been trivialized in the discourse on the social part of the state’s functions, and we call it giving a fi shing rod, not a fi sh. The trivialization of this otherwise correct approach resulted from the lack of its implementation and now finds a place in the space of discourse, but not realization or implementation.
