Summary/Abstract: Communism, that claimed to be a new civilisation, superior to the capitalist one that it avidly denied, forced hundreds of millions of people to live in a closed, repressive, and humiliating universe. On the theoretical level, of proclaimed purposes, Communism claimed to be the embodiment of “absolute humanism”, a company from which the class distinctions disappeared and in which people could live in complete freedom. Freedom itself, in the Marxist view, the only one allowed under the Communism regime, was defined as an understood need. The Communist party was proclaimed the holder of universal truth, having, therefore, the right to define the means of “understanding a need”. Communism was a utopian concept, rooted in the dream of removal, at any cost, of private property and the building of a universe of total equality. The Leninist dictate on reality aimed at transforming the individual into a simple wheel in the huge machinery of the despotism of the unique party. Which does not mean that this strategy was fully successful. On the contrary, people resisted in many ways, there were various degrees of opposition, but also various degrees of complicity. Thus, we must honour the memory of those who have given their lives resisting the system, from those who dies in prisons to those incarcerated and beaten (miners, workers, peasants who protested against the agglomeration of lands and of collectivization) during the times of Gheοrghe Gheοrghіu-Dej and up to the victim of the 1980s under Nіcοlae Ceauşeѕcu. In the following I planned on highlighting the main moments that contributed to the creation of that base of power necessary for the emergence and development of censorship and the cult for the personality of Νісοlaе Сеaușеѕсu.
