Summary/Abstract: Criminal policy or political populism. Comments on the amendment to the Penal Code of July 7, 2022. The authors present their comments related to the latest amendment of the Polish penal law. These changes were aimed at a radical increase in penal repression against citizens by raising the limits of punishment for most crimes, including those against minors. To a large extent, these changes raise doubts as to their legitimacy, but also in relation to the principles of a democratic state ruled by law.
