A Honor Episode at the Higher War School in 1925 involving Major Zygmunt Berling

Summary/Abstract: During a lecture by a French officer at the Higher War School (Wyższa Szkoła Wojenna, WSWoj.) there was an incident between Major Zygmunt Berling and Major Janusz Gaładyk. This event became the subject of an internal investigation at WSWoj. as well as an additional later inquiry by the Honorary Officer’s Court. This article, based mainly on previously unknown archival materials, presents the circumstances of this dispute and its conclusion. It also provides a supplement to Berling’s biographies that are in scientific circulation, which did not mention the episode.
