Accessibility of the website of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Lodz in the light of own research

Summary/Abstract: The topic of web accessibility is becoming increasingly popular among digital product specialists. Over the years, public awareness of the needs of people struggling with disabilities and other handicaps has increased significantly, which translates into a desire to create solutions to meet those needs. The purpose of this study was to examine the degree of accessibility of the digital website of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Lodz. A technical method was used. The study showed that the analyzed website is digitally accessible to a medium degree. Despite meeting many basic criteria, it lacks a number of important solutions to facilitate the use of people with disabilities and seniors.
