Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine what difficulties students confront when learning to write academic papers in English. Advanced students at university level encountered many aspects of academic writing in English as a foreign language. Academic writing skills are needed for all the students in order to accomplish their educational demands and to boost their chances for success. Writing in a foreign language is one of the most demanding skills for many students. Although this process is challenging, academic writing helps them to develop both personally and professionally.
