Protection against illegal and harmful content on video sharing platforms

Summary/Abstract: The development of technology has given rise to new types of media services such as video sharing platforms (VSPs) which can also provide an easy access to harmful or illegal content, especially detrimental to the proper development of minors or that made available by irresponsible users. The aim of the considerations in the article is to characterise activities of VSP providers, which are meant to render accessible content on their platformsin compliance with relevant legal regulations as well as manners of conduct applicable incases of content prohibited by law. The basic method used in the article is the interpretative analysis of normative acts.
