Summary/Abstract: Once again we bring into discussion the controversial issue of neologisms with reference to the vocabulary of the Romanian language, the way in which they modify the dynamics of the language and, either enrich it or nuance the already existent lexicon or disfavour the language. Although the loanwords confer such a dynamics to the lexicon, the excessive use can become annoying and tiresome. One cannot speak about the dynamics of a language without referring to the relation between use and norm, between the individual use and the collective use. The study of the neological phenomenon will make way for new approaches that will go beyond the field of lexicology and lexicography. The issue of neological borrowing cannot be exhausted, regardless of the approach, but will remain an open theme precisely because the language is in a continuous evolution, its dynamics being subject both to the norm and specially to use.
