Summary/Abstract: 32 years before Petăr Beron issues his Riben bukvar ‘Fish Primer’,another book entitled Pervoe oučenie xotjaštymъ oučitsja knigъ pismeny Slavenskimi, nazyvaemoe BUKVARЪ ‘First learning to those who desire to learn Slavonic letters, entitled PRIMER’ was published in Vienna, which marked the beginning of the spread of printed educational books and the introduction of secular educational content into the Bulgarian school; thus, it facilitated the transition from Church Slavonic to civil alphabet. The primer, with included secular educational content, triggered the inception of distinguishing between liturgical and educational literature. Thus it actually seems to be the firs tprinted specialized educational-methodical book in Bulgarian schools.
