Summary/Abstract: In the article the status of Ukrainian bibliological research and its main characteristics throught the last two decades, i.e. since the beginning of the 21st century, are presented. The main centres, scientifi c schools, problematics of research, contribution of particular scientists in the development of bibliology and certain bibliologic disciplines are defi ned. The author discusses main trends of bibliological research at the V.I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine as a main scientifi c institution in the fi eld of bibliology and particular bibliologic disciplines: codicology, book monument studies, history of book culture, expertise of rare books, research of historical library collections.
