Summary/Abstract: Going by the idea that "where history is lacking, great poetry cannot appear" and that "true poetry is the highest form of patriotism", the volumes in the second part of the creation, especially starting with the Hymns of Transylvania, abound in lyrical creations in which history is the object of creation. The poet, as he confesses in the volumes of essays, tries to penetrate the nature of the things of the world that make up the Fatherland, to "penetrate the image of the heroes through whom the being has incarnated throughout time in history". Through the poetry he writes, Ioan Alexandru manifests his boundless love for the Romanian peasant and the "essentially organic" knowledge of the local tradition, he wants to preserve the ethnic pathos, living "high reverence for the glory of the past". His poetry is "crying and cradle song, burst and revolt and caress of the contemplation of their homelands, self-confession and religious prayer", noting the figures of some important personalities of the Romanian people: Avram Iancu, Mihai Viteazul, Alexandru cel Bun, Mircea cel Bătrân, Ștefan cel Mare, Horia din Ablac, Gelu Voievodul, Neagoe Basarab, Sofronie din Cioara, Ioan Daniil, Mihai Eminescu, Nicolae Bălcescu, Horia, Procopie Pătruț.
