Summary/Abstract: George Bacovia′s literary work needs to be understood as an organic part of the poet′s self, and its meanings cannot be brought to light unless the reader deconstructs, logoi by logoi, the entire literary creation, in order to distinguish its inner logos. Bacovia′s poetry is a form of escapism- cadence and decandence brought together and tranformed into his lyrical modus operandi. The author deconstructs and reconstructs some major themes such as love, solitude, death or nihilism, forcing them to embrace the prosodic embroidery of symbolism.
