Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to make an incursion into the theories of international trade and to present the main elements of impact, being considered some of the classical and modern doctrines that have had a significant effect on international exchanges; the evolution of these theories has been in close accordance with the economic realities of the periods in which they were created, and there has been a constant concern to be rethought and adapted to changes in the economy. Among those analyzed were the Hechscher-Ohlin-Samuelson model, the Leontieff paradox, Porter's theory or the neofactorial theories. In our approach we used a descriptive methodology, using various bibliographic sources, mainly from foreign literature - scientific articles, relevant books in the field of reference, studies, official documents of various relevant international bodies.
