Summary/Abstract: As starting point the present article considers the field survey results, ,,Relationships between school education and family education”, conducted during doctoral studies in Iasi. It consists of two parts. The first part presents the socio-historical context, especially how the values from one generation to another were conveyed, and the second part identifies a series of inequalities in generation Y. In generation Y, compared to generation X, we establish a discontinuity in the transmission, within the family, of some dominated values in some students (such as politeness, self-confidence, etc.); in some parents there is a lack of consistency when applying an educational model. Some of those belonging to generation Y distinguish themselves by constant professional training, but most of the generation Y people face inequalities, which have been studied from the perspective of structural conditions and social reforms.
