Summary/Abstract: The risk is defined from several aspects, or rather, each organization has its own definition. According to the international standard (ISO 31000), risk is the effect of uncertainty on objectives. It is often characterized in relation to possible events and consequences, or both. Performance is a deviation from the expected, positive and/or negative. The goals can be followed by various aspects and can be applied on different levels. Uncertainty is a partial state of lack of information related to an event, understanding or knowledge about the event, and its consequence or probability. Mechanical ventilation systems undoubtedly represent risky systems and danger, both for the health and life of people, as well as for the company property. Lack of expertise and neglect of work supervision, as well as irregular maintenance of the mentioned systems can lead to accidents with fatal consequences. Therefore, prevention and adequate management reduces the risk of unwanted events.
