Summary/Abstract: It must be recognized that translation and interpretation methods are enriched every day with new concepts and new breaths aimed at making the written and oral discourses of translator-interpreters more faithful and effective. This is the case of the intercultural component, which draws other notions and terminologies such as para-translation, language awareness, etc. However, with three fronts of insecurity: the Anglophone crisis in the North-west and South-west regions, the wars against Boko Haram in the Far North and the incursions of Central African rebels into the eastern and Adamaoua regions, the linguistic assistance provided to refugees and other internally and externally displaced persons may not always be done in the best possible conditions. This study examines the Cameroonian insecure context, as well as the quality of language assistance offered to migrants through the translation and interpretation services that take place there, in order to have a better understanding of these services. The study is based on a descriptive and contrasting approach.
