Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the testimonies of two teenage Holocaust survivors who were deported from Hungary via Auschwitz-Birkenau to Gusen II concentration camp. I pay attention to a key aspect of human experiences of displacement and persecution: Notions of place/ space and map-making in the example of two Holocaust testimonies from the Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies.
