Summary/Abstract: History confirms that in the context of the ancient world the Jews were the people with a rich poetic endowment, perhaps the richest in comparison with the contemporaries of that time. The poetry of the Old Testament can be seen as a meadow with many, various flowers, from which the reader can pick the flavours he likes. Through a fine humorous interpretation of what has been stated, the reader is called to think about wisdom. The hymnographic poetry of the Old Testament was to answer all the spiritual turmoil of the Christians of the first centuries.
