Summary/Abstract: The identity spirit in Labis’s work has destinations that define the national specificity. The suitable place is offered by the native village in the mountains, situated in the Northern part of Moldavia. The exceptional sensitivity of the child-poet gets from the village life a realistic perspective but also a folkloric, legendary one.
