Summary/Abstract: The myth of the androgynous being is one that brings forward one of humanity´s deepest desires, that of experiencing the perfect love. Regardless of all the changes that accompanied the evolution of the human race, we still long to find our soul mate and to somehow recover our long lost privileges. Therefore, the androgyne being is a symbol of love and hope, a concept still very much alive today, maybe because we need to dream in order to live.
