Summary/Abstract: The goal of the article is to analyze the dwelling features of Sighișoara and Rupea, two areas in south-eastern Transylvania hosting a mix of population. The latter used to belong to the Royal Land where the Saxons would be numerous and live along with Romanians and a considerable smaller number of Szekelys. The paper will highlight some landmarks related to spatial proximity and identity, as well as some dwelling features of the two communities who would live in separate neighbourhoods and on different streets. Regardless of their social distance, there was a transfer of knowledge among people. In this respect, the article will substantiate the claim that there was a transfer of features and habits between the two spatially distanced communities, which is a dwelling feature in the two Transylvanian territories.
