Summary/Abstract: This article is presenting the perspectives regarding the contribution of the Orthodox Church ministers, priests and monks from de county of Neamț to the Great Union in 1918. We note the contribution Văratec monastery where there was military hospital and orphanage for war orphans. Dozens of nuns from this monastery functioned as nurses in hospitals in Moldova. The contribution of nuns from the monastery who have worked in the front or in military hospitals should also not be forgotten. The Romanian Orthodox Church was an active participant, within its competences, in the War of National Unification.
