Summary/Abstract: The latest researches regarding the reading and the interpretation of the literary texts put the reader in the centre of this paradigm. They also pay a close attention at the context in which the reception takes place. In this article, we are to overview the most significant approaches of the reader and the reading issues of the past century. We are to examine aspects of Hans Robert Jauss’ work as well as other researchers’, in order to emphasize the importance of an integrative approach of literary studies.
