Summary/Abstract: The volume Omar the Blind represents a modern enciphered macro-text of the well-known relations between identity and alterity, the elliptic character becoming the blazon of the emigrant and/ or the immigrant, who does not find himself and who does not discover his place no matter how hard he tries. In this book, the vocation of the exoticism meets the tendency of surpassing an inverse initiation, of crossing of a perpetual imaginary border. That is why the powerful impression of authenticity alternates with the desired inconsistency of the main character, the protagonist in the etymological sense, the disarming present reaching in a postmodern manner the strong traditionalism, and finally the two of them fusioning in a significative parable from the actual Romanian feminine prose landscape.
