Summary/Abstract: Psalm 1 is one of the most well-known and beloved psalms. It falls into the first of the five books of the Psalms, being placed at the very beginning. Psalm 1 is a psalm of wisdom in which the author proclaims the blessing of life that has its origin in the Law of God. Whoever reads it, meditates on it and respects it will have great benefits. These are presented both in this opening psalm and in the entire Psalter. In this article, we aim to present the theological value of Psalm 1 for devotional and ecclesial practice.
