Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to compare the two prototypical versions of the History of Troy that circulated in Old Romanian Literature and to discuss their origins. Spanning different cultural background over several centuries, these texts are literary mosaics. We have focused on the occidental version, found in ms. 2183 from BAR, which was very popular in Occidental Medieval Literature, due to the reworkings of Benoit de Saint Maure and Guido delle Collone. These texts were reflected in Russian chronographs, translated by Romanian scribes from the XVII century.
